    Or put a plus sign on every task that will add the new task or tasks below it.

    I often find it easier to add a subtask and when done swipe it to the left to make a task. Resorting to such hacks is a sign a change is needed.

    I don't understand how the switch with up date would work.
    Just add the plus sign to each task just to the left of icon for changing the position of the task. Put the new task below directly below the selected one. Keep the original plus sign as the way to add a task to the top of a list.

    This would be nice. I even better if this could be done as a copy and paste. So that a list could be copied and pasted in most simple text documents with one task per line. And a simple text list of one item per line could be copied and pasted into a task list.
