#Tags
Like many others I would like to have tags. Right now I'm using #tag in the task notes. Then I just search for that tag. For example, I have a shopping list, but some things can be bought at the supermarket, internet, or some other store. To deal with that I tag the task with all those #tags. Then, if I'm at one of the stores, I search for things that I can buy at that store. This would probably be the most useful functionality that is missing in gTasks.
Associated with this idea is the management of tags. That is, gTasks could read the notes, and automatically build a tag list. Then the user could just select from that list to tag a task, instead of having to type it everytime. Of course, underneath gTasks just inserts that text into the notes field.
Additionally, smart lists would be also important. Searching tags is ok, but having them pre-searched into smart lists would be better. By smart, I just mean filters that the user can make. For example, imagine the following use case. Filter > New "filter name" > Match (#tagA TagB ...).
Of course these lists should support show/hide completed tasks, and sorting.
How about it? Is that a good enough description? I was actually thinking of implementing it myself, but I preffer to buy gTasks if that comes out of the box.
BTW, great app.
